Lake Shawnee

Kansas River (Kaw River) State Park – Boat Ramp
This site features a wide concrete ramp and paved parking for 20+ vehicles. After high water, a sandbar may form—be prepared to carry your boat and gear if levels are low. The park borders Cedar Crest, the Kansas Governor’s Mansion, and offers well-used hiking and biking trails, especially during good weather.

The Lessman Farm & Truckhenge
One of Topeka’s most unusual and memorable attractions. Truckhenge is an outdoor folk-art installation where vintage trucks are partially buried upright, inspired by Stonehenge. Created by local artist Ron Lessman, the site blends creativity, recycling, and humor.
